President Trump’s campaign team called out CNN after the news network pulled a campaign ad touting his accomplishments in the first 100 days.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Trump’s campaign referred to CNN as a “fake news station.”
“It is absolutely shameful to see the media blocking the positive message that President Trump is trying to share with the country. It’s clear that CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech because it doesn’t fir their narrative,” the statement said.
CNN’s public relations team responded to the campaign’s allegations saying that they chose not to air the ad because of a graphic featuring Wolf Blitzer’s face that labeled CNN and other mainstream outlets as “fake news.”
