Marathon Enterprises, Inc is making a huge recall on over 7 million pounds of Sabrett and other brands of hot dog products due to the probability of bone fragments and cartilage that made it into the product. Consumers have reported to the FDA that pieces of bone were found within the product. There has been one reported minor oral injury associated with the consumption of this product.
The beef and pork hot dog and sausage items listed in this recall, were produced on various dates between March 17, 2017 and July 4, 2017. Products that are subjected to this recall have the establishment number “EST. 8854” on the inside of the USDA mark of inspection. The listed recalled items were shipped to institutional and retail locations nationwide.
