McDonalds Salad Parasites Have sickened many?!
Both the Illinois and Iowa health departments are investigating outbreaks of a possible Mcdonalds salad parasites that causes intestinal illness and might be linked to McDonald’s salads, both states announced Thursday. If you live in either of those states please contact your state health departement if you have had any symptoms. This pareasite is serious and can make you very ill.
According to CNN The cyclospora parasite causes in internal intestinal illness as a result of consuming contaminated food or water possoibly from McDonalds Salad Parasites . Symptoms can start showing up 5-7 days or more after consuming the parasite that has been linked to McDonalds Salads.
McDonalds Salad Parasites Symtoms
They include diarrhea and frequent, sometimes explosive bowel movements, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those who are infected might also experience loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps or pain, nausea, gas and fatigue. Vomiting, headache, fever, body aches and flu-like symptoms can also occur.
Many of our viewers frequent McDonalds and also live in or near the area that this illness has been reported. It is still early to tell if this is in more areas but we will report anyhting we find.
This is not tthe first time McDonalds has been in the spotlight for food born issues.
The State Health departmens have asked that anyone who has become ill after visiting McDonalds to please call your local state Health department and alert them to your experience.
McDonalds Salad Parasites are very serious as you can expect and can affect people of any age. Many of us try to eat on the healthy side when we take our kids to visit McDonalds and this may not have been the best thing to do if it was making us sick. We have previously posted about another Salad Parasite Recall recently and with this new McDonalds Salad Parasites discovery I am almsot certain this is not the end and there may be more coming. As a word of precaution I am going to stay away from any packaged salads or salad mixes for now until this mess is cleared up. How about you?
