McDonald’s Has a New Extra-Large Big Mac. You Won’t Believe The Calories!
How big is too big? McDonald’s is just about to find out. They’re offering two new sizes of Big Mac burgers: a Grand Mac (extra-large size) and a miniaturized Mac Jr. (small size) to “provide customers with additional options to fit their lifestyles,” it said in a press release.
The current Big Mac contains two all-beef patties, 1/10th of a pound each, with special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions and a sesame seed bun. It has 540 calories.
The Grand Big Mac is made with two 1/6th-pound patties and two slices of American cheese served on a larger sesame seed bun with lettuce, onions and pickles. The extra large-size burger is a whopping 890 calories.
The Mac Jr. is a smaller, “single-layer” style Big Mac that is 480 calories.
The two new sandwich sizes are currently being tested in 130 restaurants in the central Ohio area, and also in Dallas. They will be available through June 6th.
What do you think? Will you try these?
