Have you ever felt inadequate by the ads and posters promoting beauty products? I think we ALL have at one time or another. CVS is putting a stop to it in their stores.
CVS Health announced just today that they are placing a “touch up ban” on their brand beauty products. Makeup and promotional store displays will no longer show photo enhanced images. They are also requiring the brands they sell in store to commit to a “no photo manipulation” policy by the year 2020 or a disclosure label will be placed on the product in store.
The president of CVS Pharmacy, Helena Foulkes said the decision reflects an acknowledgement that “unrealistic body images” are a “significant driver of health issues” especially with women. — (quote from USA Today.com)
