Committed to the quality of its products, H-E-B is voluntarily issuing a quality withdrawal for certain H-E-B and Hill Country Fare bread and buns due to an unbalance in the yeast provided by a supplier, which does not present a health risk. The affected products were distributed to stores in Texas and Mexico.
All products related to this quality withdrawal have been removed from store shelves.
H-E-B is proud our bread is made by Texans, for Texans and we are working to have fresh product back on shelves as soon as possible.
The quality withdrawal impacts products with a best by date between June 26 and July 2.

According to ZDNet This brand new attack allows any would-be-hacker to run as many passcodes as they wish to run, without destroying the data found on the phone. This opens up the phone to a big Vulnerability. The Built in protection consists of a 10-guess limit when entering your passcode on any iPhone or iPad’. With this new hack this security feature can be sidestepped through a simple brute force attack, potentially leaving iOS devices vulnerable to being exploited. More information found here

Get that credit card ready! Amazon Prime Day 2018 was announced — albeit by accident!
The date to remember was announced earlier this week on Amazon’s UK site with a banner announcement that wasn’t supposed to go up! It was later removed.
Are you ready? It’ll be 36 hours of deals rather than the 24 like in years past! The day to remember is Monday 7/16! Be ready!

UPDATE: Both the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had expanded the recall to include Honey Smacks cereal of any size package or with any “best if used by” date. Public health investigators are using the PulseNet system to identify illnesses that may be part of this outbreak. PulseNet is the national subtyping network of public health and food regulatory agency laboratories coordinated by CDC. Source

J Bar B Foods of Waelder, TX, is recalling more than 410,000 pounds of H-E-B brand beef brisket smoked sausage because of an adulterated and misbranded ingredient, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The products contain a pork casing, which is not declared on the product label, and may cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.
“The problem was discovered on June 12 in response to a customer inquiry that a beef smoked sausage product did not specify pork casing as part of the ingredients statement,” according to the recall notice on the FSIS website.
“There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.”
The ready-to-eat beef brisket smoked sausage products were produced on various dates from June 21, 2016, to May 29 this year. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 7066” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Texas. Consumers can identify the recalled meat by looking for the following label information:
Dozens of lot codes, as well as packaging dates and other identifying information, may be found on the FSIS website by clicking here.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Adam Bosi, president of J Bar B Foods at 860-787-7511.

I usually do not post any medical settlements, however I have used Lidoderm and I know lots of people have. In North Carolina it seemed every one I knew had used these pain patches at some point. The class Action for Lidoderm has settled and if you ever used Lidoderm or generics, you may be entitled to part of this $105 Million Dollar Settlement. Apparently some of the manufacturers had paid off the generic manufacturers to delay the release of generic patches. You have until October 1st to file a claim. GO HERE TO FILE and learn more
