BREAKING NEWS – New Paypal Scam Is Emptying Bank Accounts!

There is another Surge of of fraudulent emails claiming to be from PayPal which can empty your bank account in seconds. People are being urged to not click on any suspicious emails from Paypal. This has started in the UK but is expected to spread to other countries such as the  United States possibly! According to The Sentinel

The government’s cybercrime agency Action Fraud UK has issued the warning after a high number of ‘phishing’ emails were being sent out purporting to be from the online payments company.

But, if the message is clicked on, victims are redirected to a fake, but remarkably similar, version of PayPal’s website where they are asked for sensitive data.

 

A PayPal spokesperson told Mirror Money: “At PayPal we go to great lengths to protect our customers in the UK, but there are still a few, simple precautions we should all take to avoids scams.”

“We do contact our customers by email (e.g. for marketing purposes), however if the email is about an account limitation, then the customer should: open their internet browser, visit www.paypal.co.uk and login.
