Barnes & Noble will be expanding it’s food & beverage offerings to now include beer and wine. They will be “testing” the new concept at 4 stores, the first being in Eastchester, New York come October with 3 other stores to follow including Edina, Minnesota; Folsom, California, and Loudon, Virginia.
The new stores also boast an expanded cafe area and larger food menu, in addition to extended cafe hours. In an effort to combat the drowning retail market for brick & mortar bookstores, B&N hopes to capitalize on areas outside of just selling books. If you are a coffee fan, don’t worry! The cafes will also still include Starbucks drinks and treats as they presently offer already.
