If you have travelled by plane in the last several years, $45 million dollars is up for grabs in this soon to be settled class action suit against several major airlines including American, Delta and Southwest. The class action stems from airlines being accused of “price fixing” as well as violating antitrust laws.
These violations and practices resulted in billions of dollars of profit for the airlines and consumers unknowingly paying too much to fly. In simple terms, Southwest, Delta and more airlines are accused of fixing the amount of seats available on a flight despite flights not being full and raising the price of tickets and raising other taxes and fees artificially.
