mark those calendars! Fathers Day is one week from today (6/17)
What are you getting your Dad this year?
Well, I don’t know about you but my father loves sports and music. Yet, of all things my Dad is not a shopper. He wants to shop quick and grab what he needs. I thought long and hard on what to get him, I think a gift basket sounds like a great Idea.
What you will need
A basket : any old thing will do, If you don’t have any lying around the house try looking for them at your local Dollar or Discount stores (such as Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Job Lot, etc.).
Some Items from your Stockpile : You know Dad’s generally can’t be bothered picking up personal care items, if I left it to my Father to pick his own stuff up he’d waste so much of his money grabbing whatever. So, help him out on his day and add in things like Razors, Shaving Cream, Deodorant, His Favorite Shampoo..(whatever you feel he needs and will use it can even be food items if you prefer just make sure it’s items he enjoys.)
A Gift Card to his favorite store : My Dad loves purchasing Cd’s on Amazon.com and if you use Swagbucks as much as I do you probably have earned enough to get a few Amazon Gift Cards by now. My local Stop & Shop grocery store is also running a terrific gift card deal. Right now (until 6/14) you can Buy $50 in Gift Cards and receive a $10 Catalina for your next shopping trip. They offer a Lowe’s Gift card as well as pretty much any gift card besides the Stop & Shop grocery store gift cards.
Lastly, I’m gonna be sure to let my Dad relax, He’s always running around like crazy and the biggest thing he said he wants for Father’s Day is some piece and quiet. I Hope this post helped you think of a great gift for your Dad this year. I know whatever you give him he will love it because it’s a gift from the heart.
